StandingSlot

For practitioners on Calendly

Book a regular client's whole series in one go.

Calendly makes you book a regular client one week at a time, and a cancelled slot just sits empty. StandingSlot books the whole weekly series through Calendly, and offers cancelled slots to the people on your waitlist.

$7 a month. Needs a paid Calendly plan.

What StandingSlot does

Two jobs Calendly leaves to you: repeat bookings for clients you see every week or two, and filling the gap when someone cancels.

Weekly series

Pick the event type, the client, the day and time, and weekly or every other week. StandingSlot checks your availability, shows any clashes, then books each session.

Calendly's own reminders

Every session is a real Calendly booking, so your client gets Calendly's confirmation and reminders. Cancel or extend a series whenever you like.

A waitlist for each event type

Share a waitlist link. When someone cancels, the person who has waited longest gets your booking link and a set time to take it, then the next person.

Inside Calendly's limits

Calendly caps how many bookings other tools can make and how far ahead. StandingSlot keeps the next few weeks booked and adds a week as each one passes.

One price

Tax included. It renews every month until you cancel, and you can disconnect Calendly at any time.

$7 / month

  • Weekly and every-other-week series
  • A waitlist for each event type
  • Bookings sent through Calendly, with Calendly's reminders

Questions

Setup and every screen are covered in the StandingSlot docs.

What do I need to use StandingSlot?

A paid Calendly plan. Calendly only lets other tools make bookings on its paid plans. Series work with one-on-one event types.

Will my client still get reminders?

Yes. StandingSlot books each session through Calendly, so Calendly sends its usual confirmation and reminders. A plain calendar repeat sends none.

What happens when someone cancels?

The person who has waited longest on that event type’s waitlist gets your booking link by email and a set time to take it. If they don’t, the next person gets it.

How far ahead does it book?

As far as Calendly allows. Calendly limits how many bookings other tools make each hour and day, and how far ahead each event type can be booked, so StandingSlot keeps the next few weeks booked and adds a new week as each one passes.
