Price Sync
Automatically synchronize subscription prices with Shopify product prices.
Available on all plans. PricePilot automatically synchronizes the prices of subscription products in Recharge with their corresponding Shopify product prices. It scans upcoming charges within your configured lookahead period, compares the subscription price to the current Shopify variant price, and updates any mismatches.
Key behaviors
- Price increases: By default, PricePilot will update prices in both directions (up and down). If you prefer to only sync price decreases, you can disable price increase updates.
- Grace period: Subscriptions with charges scheduled within the grace period window will not be updated, preventing last-minute surprises for customers.
- Lowest price guarantee: When enabled, price decreases always apply immediately regardless of the grace period.
- Shopify App Subscriptions: Charges related to Shopify App Subscriptions are automatically excluded from syncing.
- Batch processing: PricePilot uses Recharge's batch API for efficient updates, processing changes in bulk rather than one at a time.
Free Shipping Protection
Available on all plans when configured. Free shipping protection prevents PricePilot from increasing subscription prices when the price difference is attributable to shipping cost changes rather than product price changes.
How it works:
- When PricePilot detects a price increase for a subscription, it compares the increase against your configured shipping threshold.
- If the increase falls within the threshold, PricePilot skips the update, preventing subscribers from seeing higher prices due to shipping adjustments.
- Price decreases are never affected by this setting.
Configure the threshold from the sync settings in PricePilot.
Increase control modes
Available on all plans. PricePilot offers three modes for handling subscription price increases, giving merchants control over how aggressively increases are applied.
- Automatic (default) — Price increases are applied immediately during each sync run. This is the simplest option and requires no manual intervention.
- Require review — Price increases are queued with a "pending review" status instead of being applied right away. A merchant can then approve or dismiss each increase from the review queue before anything is written back to Recharge. This may be a good fit for stores that want a human checkpoint before customers see higher prices.
- Audit only — Price increases are recorded for visibility but are never applied or notified. This mode can be useful for merchants who want to monitor price drift without taking action automatically.
The control mode can be changed at any time from the Price Sync settings page.
Review queue
Available when the increase control mode is set to Require review. The review queue is accessible from the Price Sync page and lists every pending price increase waiting for a decision.
Each entry shows:
- Customer email
- Scheduled charge date
- Old and new price
- Review status (e.g. Pending, Approved, Dismissed)
- Notice status (e.g. Not Required, Queued, Sent)
Bulk actions — Select individual rows or use "Select all" to act on the entire page at once. Two actions are available:
- Approve — The selected increases are written to Recharge. The grace period is still respected: if a charge falls inside the grace window at the time of approval, that change is skipped rather than applied.
- Dismiss — The selected changes are recorded as dismissed and will not be applied.
Dismissed and skipped changes remain visible in sync run history for auditing purposes.
Klaviyo notice tracking
Available on all plans when both Klaviyo is connected and the notice toggle is enabled. PricePilot can queue a Klaviyo event whenever a price increase is applied, allowing merchants to build notification flows that inform subscribers about upcoming price changes.
How it works by mode:
- Automatic — A notice event is queued each time an increase is applied during a sync run.
- Require review — A notice event is queued when an increase is approved from the review queue and successfully applied to Recharge.
- Audit only — No notices are sent, since increases are never applied in this mode.
The Klaviyo event is named Subscription Price Increase Notice and includes properties such as the old price, new price, and scheduled charge date. Merchants can use these properties in Klaviyo to build custom email or SMS flows.
To enable notice tracking, connect Klaviyo from the Integrations page and then toggle "Queue Klaviyo notices for applied increases" in the Price Sync settings.
