Stock Reservation
Reserve inventory for upcoming subscription renewals via Shopify draft orders.
Available on all plans. PricePilot creates Shopify draft orders to reserve inventory for upcoming subscription renewals, so one-off orders cannot sell the stock your subscribers are about to be charged for.
How it works
- PricePilot scans upcoming Recharge charges within your reservation window.
- It aggregates demand by product variant across all upcoming charges.
- Draft orders are created in Shopify to reserve the required inventory.
- As charges are processed and become real orders, the matching draft orders are removed.
Reports
PricePilot generates two CSV reports for each reservation run:
- Reservation report: every product reserved, with quantities and variant details
- Out-of-stock report: products where demand exceeded available inventory
Both reports include a Priority Reason column showing whether a reservation was standard, matched from a VIP tag, or taken from the manual VIP list.
Reports are stored in S3 and available from the Reports section of PricePilot.
VIP Priority
Available on all plans. VIP Priority gives selected customers first pick of newly available stock during a reservation run.
What you can configure:
- A manual VIP list of up to 500 customer emails
- Up to 3 exact-match Shopify customer tags
How priority works:
- Manual VIP customers are considered first
- Tag-matched VIP customers are considered next
- Standard customers are considered after both VIP groups
VIP priority never displaces an existing reservation. It affects only newly available stock in the current run. VIP draft orders in Shopify carry a vip-priority tag.
For setup steps and examples, see VIP Priority.
Recharge Bundles
Available on Large Business and Ultra plans. PricePilot detects Recharge bundle subscriptions, reads the individual product selections, and includes them in reservations and price sync alongside standard subscriptions.
Reserve Beyond Scheduled Charges
Available on Pro plans and above with a lookahead of 4 weeks or more. Recharge usually schedules one upcoming charge per subscription at a time, which limits how far ahead reservations can reach.
When enabled, PricePilot predicts future renewal dates from each subscription's order frequency (every 2 weeks, every month, and so on) and projects charges through your whole lookahead window. A 6-month lookahead on the Ultra plan can then reserve inventory for renewals Recharge has not scheduled yet.
How projection works:
- PricePilot reads each subscription's delivery frequency from Recharge
- Starting from the most recent scheduled charge date, it projects forward at the subscription's interval
- Projected charges are treated the same as real scheduled charges for reservation and VIP-priority purposes
- When Recharge schedules the real charge, PricePilot replaces the projected reservation with the real one
Report Only Mode
Available on Large Business and Ultra plans. When enabled, PricePilot runs the full reservation analysis without creating draft orders in Shopify and reports what would have been reserved.
What the report includes:
- Product variant, quantity, and charge date for each planned reservation
- Total units that would be reserved per variant
- Out-of-stock items where demand exceeds available inventory
- Aggregated summary by product
Use it to:
- Trial PricePilot before turning on live reservations
- Study demand without touching your Shopify inventory
- Compare projected reservations with current stock levels
Reports are uploaded to S3 and available from the Reports section.
