PricePilot

Stock Alerts

Get warned on the reservations page before upcoming renewals outrun your stock.

Available on Pro plans and above. Stock alerts look up to 90 days ahead at upcoming subscription charges and your store's skip and churn history, and warn you when a variant may run out before its renewals ship.

Turn stock alerts on or off from the Stock alerts card on the Reservations page.

How the check works

  1. PricePilot totals upcoming charges from Recharge by product variant and date, including the items inside bundles.
  2. Expected demand allows for skips and cancellations: expected demand = upcoming units × (1 - skip rate) × (1 - churn rate).
  3. Expected demand is compared with current Shopify inventory.

The check runs once a day.

Rates and historical data

  • Skip rate: the share of charges customers skip, calculated from recent subscription data. Defaults to 5% until there is data.
  • Churn rate: the share of subscriptions cancelled per period. Defaults to 3% until there is data.
  • Both rates update from your store's Recharge data as it accumulates.

Alert levels

When expected demand exceeds available stock, PricePilot raises an alert at one of three levels:

  • Warning: stock projected to run out within 14 days
  • Critical: stock projected to run out within 7 days
  • Urgent: stock projected to run out within 3 days

Each alert names the variant, current stock, expected demand, and days until stockout. Resolve an alert from the Reservations page once you've restocked or decided no action is needed; alerts also clear on their own when stock recovers. The Dashboard shows how many alerts are open.

If Klaviyo is connected, each new alert is also sent to Klaviyo as a PP Inventory Alert event addressed to the shop owner email, so you can build a flow that notifies your team.
