Getting started
Connect Square and add the script to your store. About ten minutes.
Create an account at backbell.app and subscribe. The Setup tab then walks through five steps.
1. Connect your Square account
Click Connect with Square. Backbell asks to read your business profile, items and stock. If you'd rather, choose Use an access token instead and paste a production access token from Square.
2. Online store location
Pick the Location your online store sells from. Backbell watches stock at that location.
3. Your store's address
Enter the web address of your online store and click Save address.
4. Items to cover
Tick the items that should show the button. Only items with tracked stock are listed. Cover all and Cover none change every item listed; Refresh from Square fetches new ones.
New products are added to the list each night, switched off. Tick them to cover them.
5. Add the script to your store
Click Copy script. In your Square Online dashboard, open Settings, then Tracking tools, paste it into the box for code at the end of the page (body), then save and publish.
From then on, covered items that are sold out show Notify me when it's back.
A sign-up link instead
For any covered item, Copy sign-up link gives you a page where shoppers can sign up for that item without visiting your store.
